What a nice surprise I had this weekend when I was doing my least favorite spring chore - weeding. Last May I planted 2 starts from fragrant lilac bushes that came from my grandmother's farm. One was a white lilac and the other purple. I looked up from my weeding, and there was a beautiful and fragrant lilac bloom. What a surprise. I smiled thinking about it as I weeded my way through my gardens.
I can relate to the feeling of seeing your flowers bloom so beautifully and your garden is once more full of life.
